Thys Du Preez

Thys du Preez was born at Piketberg in 1936 and in 1965 married Hélène Soldermann of Montpellier, France, in Cape Town. He was editor of Familia, journal of the Genealogical Society of S.A. for nine years and was Honorary Member of the Society. He did research on the genealogy of the South African Du Preez family for more than 30 years and published a book on the Du Preez family in Afrikaans. He died in 2022.
